Meet Charlei, the man behind Icelander.
My journey in logistics began early, working in my family’s bakery alongside my father, who managed storage and distribution. I was drawn to the behind-the-scenes operations: how things were stored, moved, and delivered with precision. It became clear to me that great logistics isn’t just about transport, it’s about organisation, timing, care, and strategy.
As I stepped into the broader logistics industry, I gained hands-on experience across multiple providers and sectors. I saw what worked, and what didn’t. The industry lacked flexibility, personal service, and a true understanding of smaller or growing businesses.
That’s why I started Icelander: to blend the capabilities of large-scale logistics with the care and agility of a family-run operation.
When the pandemic disrupted global supply chains, we didn’t stand still, we stepped in. We helped clients navigate staff shortages, manage day-to-day operations, and keep their goods moving during one of the toughest times for logistics.
Through hands-on support and quick adaptation, we helped many of our clients not just stay afloat, but grow. That experience reinforced what we believe at Icelander: logistics is more than moving goods, it’s about building trust, solving problems, and growing together.
